Samuel Benjamin (1831–1905)

The death of Mr. Samuel Benjamin, in his 74th year, took place on Saturday at his residence, "Waimea," Acland-street, St. Kilda. He arrived at Melbourne in 1852, and began business on the site of the Beehive Chambers, Elizabeth-street. He continued in business until 1880, when he engaged in financial pursuits. Mrs. Benjamin has survived her husband, and there is a family of seven daughters and three sons.
