The death of the late Mr. Francis Baulch (says the Warrnambool Standard) removes from the district an old inhabitant, who had completed two and thirty years of residence in the locality, and had attained the ripe age of seventy-seven years. Mr. Baulch emigrated to Tasmania in 1839, and thence came to Belfast in the Sydney Griffiths, when the latter vessel made her first trip to sea, in the year 1850. He helped to load the first wool ever shipped from Belfast, which was sent from Mr. James Richie's at Blackwood Station, and he turned the first sod on the Rosebank Estate, belonging to the late Mr. McLaws. By a member of Mr Baulch's family, we are informed that he had fifteen children, one hundred and sixty grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren.
