Douglas Legh Barratt (?–1942)

Lieut Douglas Legh Barratt, husband of Miss Eileen Joyce the Australian pianist who now lives in England has died on active service.

Miss Joyce and Mr Barratt were married at Marylebone registry office, London, on September 16, 1937, after her return from a concert tour of Australia. The bridegroom's gift to her was a grand piano, and it was stated that Miss Joyce intended to continue her musical career.
