Emily Archer (?–1940)

The remains of Mrs. Emily Archer were interred in the Deloraine cemetery on Saturday, and the Rev. A. E. Chamberlain conducted the service at the graveside. Mrs. Archer died at her residence, Elizabeth Town, following a long illness. She was a daughter of Mrs Aylett and the late Mr. J. Aylett, of Elizabeth Town, where she was born. Her husband Mr. C. Archer, a daughter, Mrs. E. Fawkner, of Launceston and a son, Mr. T. Archer of Elizabeth Town survive. The Warden (Mr. E. T. Hingston) represented the Deloraine Council. The carriers were Messrs. H., V. and M. Aylett and E. Balfour. The pall bearers were Crs. E. T. Hingston and J. D. Peters, Messrs W. Bennett and E. Stephens. The chief mourners were Mr. C. M. Archer (husband), Mr. and Mrs E. Fawkner (daughter and son-in-law) Mr. T. Archer (son), Mrs. J. Aylett, Elizabeth Town (mother), Mrs. S. Lucas of Ulverstone (sister), Messrs. S., W., D., A. and R. Aylett (brothers) Mr. K. Archer (brother-in-law), Messrs C. Archer, E., K. and C. Aylett and Senator W. Aylett (nephews). The funeral arrangements were conducted by Mr. B. J. Cameron of Deloraine.
