Andrew (Andy) Anderson (1909–1982)

The Queensland Division wishes to record the deaths of several well-known retired members of the Institute during 1982:

A. (Andrew) Anderson (1909–1982): Formerly District Forester, Maryborough, Andy passed away in August. He graduated in 1931 with Bill Suttie from the A.F.S. and spent a distinguished career with the Department. He retired from the Department in 1974 and remained in Maryborough. He was one of the characters of Forestry in Queensland and had a strong love for Fraser Island with all its charms. One of his sons — Mike — is Sub-District Forester in the Gympie Forestry District.
