Alroe, Jack (1893–1937)

Mr. Jack Alroe (44), Queensland manager of Wunderlich, Ltd., died at his residence, Belgrave Road, Indooroopilly on Tuesday afternoon. Although he has not been in the best of health, his death was unexpected. He was born in Cooktown, and was a son of the late Mr. Peter Alroe, who was well known in postal circles. In earlier days Mr. J. Alroe played tennis. He was a keen golfer, and was a member of the Indooroopilly Club. His death occurred on his 19th wedding anniversary. His wife before her marriage was Miss Ivy Lambert. He is survived also by a daughter and two sons.
