Henry George Allen (1880–1948)

Mr Henry George Allen died at his home at St George's crt, Toorak, yesterday, after a short illness. He was 68.

Son of the founder of Richard Allen & Son Pty Ltd, he was associated with the firm for 50 years. He served on committees of the Royal Melbourne and Caulfield Convalescent hospitals, and was a member of leading metropolitan race clubs and the Athenæum Club.

Mr Allen is survived by a widow, two daughters, and three sons.

The funeral will leave Sleight's, St. Kilda road, after a short service at 2.15 today for the Springvale Crematorium.
