Walter Woodyatt (1853–1912)

Mr Walter Woodyatt post and telegraph master at Gympie died on Sunday-night following a short illness. Mr Woodyatt, who was 60 years of age, had a long record of service in the Post and Telegraph Department and before going to Gympie was stationed in Charters Towers and later Brisbane.

The deceased gentlemen was a brother of Mr John Woodyatt former editor of the Maryborough Chronicle, was well known in this city and was a few years ago stationed here for some months.
