A. Watson, n.d.

A. Watson, n.d.

from Pastoral Review, 16 November 1917

The late Mr. A. R. D. Watson, who died at Kirribilli Point, Sydney, on 5th October, was buried on 1st November in his native country, Auckland, New Zealand. The deceased gentleman was the only son of the late Alexander Watson, of North Head, Auckland, New Zealand. Some time ago he handed over his fine residence at North Head to be used as a convalescent home for returned soldiers. He was an excellent mathematician and an authority on all matters pertaining to finance. His interests in New Zealand and Australia were considerable, and in recent years he became keenly interested in pastoral pursuits. He was part owner in Auckland Downs Station, Queensland, his partners being J. D. and R. F. J. Taylor, of Queensland and New South Wales. He was held in high esteem by those who knew him. After an illness of several months he passed away at an early age, leaving a widow to mourn his loss.
