John Tyson Doneley (1845–1915)

Mr. John Tyson Doneley passed peacefully away at his residence, Tyson Manor, Harlaxton, Toowoomba, Q., last month after an illness of some weeks. Mr. J. Tyson Doneley came from the Camden district of New South Wales many years ago, and was for a considerable time associated with his uncle, the late Hon. James Tyson, in pastoral pursuits, particularly at Felton Station, Cambooya. Later he purchased Brookstead Station, Pittsworth district, and engaged largely in pastoral properties in the Goondiwindi locality, with such runs as Tandawanna and Tallwood. He also had interests in other stations. He later bought Devon Park, Oakey.
