Stephen, Kate May (?–1930)

Mrs. A. Consett Stephen died at her residence, Prudhoe, New South Head-road, last night after a long illness.

Born at Bathurst, Mrs. Consett Stephen was the oldest daughter of the late Sir Francis Bathurst Suttor, and married in 1887. Her husband and the youngest son, Leslie, survive. The eldest son, Montagu, who was a member of the firm of Stephen, Jaques and Stephen, died in 1920. The second son, Major Adrian Consett Stephen, M.C., Croix de Guerre, was killed in the war in 1918.

The funeral will take place in the South Head Cemetery at 3 o'clock this afternoon. A special request has been made that no floral tributes should be sent.

Mrs. Consett Stephen took an active interest in the Boys' Brigade, and was a keen worker for the Queen Victoria Home for Consumptives.
