Michael (Mick) Searley (1945–1971)

Mick Searley died in the early hours of 19 February when his flat at Taree was gutted by fire. Mick graduated in forestry from the Australian National University in 1966. His first posting was to the Inverell Sub-District of New South Wales on assessment work. He was later transferred to Kendall and then Taree on general administrative duties. He has left a host of friends. We extend our sympathy to his family and to his fiancee, Miss Helen Marshall of Kendall, whom he planned to marry on 27 March.
