William Frederick (Bill) Pohlman (1906–1963)

Bill [William Frederick] Pohlman died on 4th August 1963 at the age of 57. One of the first A. F. S. trained professional foresters, he graduated in 1926 and worked initially on field surveys in Queensland. In 1936 he was appointed Senior Forester in the Department, a position which he held, although in ill-health during recent years, until his death. Widely regarded with both respect and affection. Bill will be long remembered by his friends and colleagues.
