MRS. SEPTIMUS MILLER

The death occurred on Sunday at her home Cantala, St. Georges Road, Toorak of Mrs. Helen Mary Muriel Miller wife of the late Mr Septimus Miller and mother of Mr. Damian Miller University student and keen sporting motorist.

Mrs. Miller moved to Toorak after the sale of the old family home Cantala in Dandenong road, which has been partly subdivided. Mr. Miller was chairman of the Victoria Racing Club and the Cantala Stakes was named after his home. He was associated with many other activities.

Mrs. Miller took little part in organised social work preferring to do good quietly in many spheres specially those connected with several churches and institutions.

Mrs. Miller who was Mr. Miller's second wife was Miss Henderson. Her sister Miss Madge Henderson lives in Melbourne, and she has two brothers Dr. Leslie Henderson of Wangaratta and Mr. H. Hen- derson a bank manager at Bright.

The funeral will leave St. Peter's Church, Toorak road, Toorak this morning, following Requiem Mass at 9.30 a.m., for the Melbourne General Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by Mulqueen and Sons Pty. Ltd.
