William Henry Kemmis (1856–1941)

The death has occurred of the Rev Canon William Henry Kemmis of Manly, at the age of 84.

Canon Kemmis was educated at Sydney University where he took his BA degree and he entered the ministry in 1890.

He was canon of the Armidale Cathedral from 1902 until 1924, and vicar of Tamworth, Quirindi and Port Macquarie. He retired in 1923.

Canon Kemmis is survived by six sons and two daughters. The funeral will leave St Matthew's Church, Manly, at 10.30 am to-day for the Northern Suburbs Crematorium.
