Charles Francis Hughes (1861–1941)

Mr. Charles Hughes, of Campbell Street, Bowen Hills, who died recently, was born 80 years ago at The Glenties, County Donegal, Ireland. In his younger days he was a commercial traveller, and travelled in Queensland as the representative of Burns, Philp, and Co., Ltd., Samuel Allen and Son, Ltd., and B. Seppelt and Sons, Ltd. He is survived by four daughters. Mes dames A. F. Alroe, G. M. Russell, and Misses May and Imelda Hughes. His wife died four months ago.
