Katherine Higgins (?–1944)

The death occurred in Melbourne recently of Mrs. Katherine Higgins, widow of the late Mr John Higgins, and mother of Mrs Nettie Palmer and Mr Esmonde Higgins, Workers' Educational Association lecturer at Newcastle, NSW. Mrs Higgins was one of the founders of Carlton Free Kindergarten, of which she was treasurer for many years. She was assisted in this work by her husband, a well-known Melbourne accountant.
