William Henry Gosper (1835–1902)

The death occurred of Wm. Henry Gosper, of Lower Portland on 8th January, after a short but severe attack of pneumonia. He was 66 years of age. Mrs Gosper pre-deceased him about 6 years. They reared a large family; most of them reside at Lower Portland and Colo, and are engaged in agricultural pursuits. The remains of deceased were buried at Sackville Reach on 9th instant, a steamer being employed to convey same from Lower Portland.  The highly polished coffin, with mouldings round the bottom and lid, was mounted with very chaste silver handles and name plate, the family repeating their patronage of Mr Arthur Price's establishment at Richmond for the same.
