Mary Cavanagh (1840–1921)

A highly respected resident of Mulligan's Flat passed away on Sunday in the person of Mrs. Mary Cavanagh, relict of the late Patrick Cavanagh, Gininderra, at the age of 80 years. The diseased lady was born at Canberra, and resided in the district the whole of her life. She was a fine character generous and charitable, and leaves a large circle of sorrowing relatives and friends. The family consists of Miss Jane and Clarence, Michael and Ernest (Mulligan's Flat), Thomas (Tamworth), John (Gippsland), George (Deepwater), Patrick (Queensland), and James. The funeral took place this afternoon at the R.C. Cemetery, Queanbeyan, the arrangements being in the hands of O'Rourke Bros.
