Henry Boucher Bowerman (1789–1839)

Great fears are entertained for the safety of the brig Britannia, Captain Morgan, which left Port Phillip the 9th ultimo, for Sydney with the following passengers – Mr. Commissary Bowerman, Captain Snowden, Mr. Bowning, Mr. H. McLean, Mr. Watt, and several others. It will be remembered that this vessel was formerly a trader from Port Phillip to Launceston, and on her arrival at the former port on one occasion ran ashore while at anchor in the night, but after a great deal of trouble she was got off. She was immediately advertised for this port, and we have since heard of her sailing, but we are sorry to say no further intelligence of her has been received.
