William John Benson (1854–1941)

The death occurred at Alpha of Mr William John Benson, 87, one of Alpha's oldest residents. The sons and daughters of the deceased are Messrs W. J., Thomas and Robert, all of Alpha, and Mesdames W. Hall (Pomona), E.J. Presland (Alpha), A. Williams (Brisbane), P. Pender (Brisbane), R. Kiernan (Alpha), M. Pender (Alpha), and R. Reeves (Rockhampton). Mr C. Dyer officiated at the graveside, which was largely attended.
