Mr. E. George Barrett-Lennard of "St. Leonards" yesterday received the sad news that his son Douglas had died on the field of honor in the Dardanelles. The ill-fated soldier was a gunner in the 8th Battery, and celebrated his 21st birthday during the campaign. He was a fine young West Australian.
